Wakefield Police Bust Heroin Dealer, Drunk Drivers and Car Thieves in June

Police in Wakefield arrested lawbreakers of all sorts in the month of June.

The Wakefield Police Department recently released their June 2013 report, indicating the different violations and incidents that occurred throughout the month of June. 

Over the span of less than a week, police busted a heroin dealer, two car thieves and two drunk drivers.

On June 16, police busted a motorcyclist that attempted to flee from police after they attempted to pull him over. He eventually lost control and dumped the bike. After some resistance, police were then able to arrest him. 

Later that week, detectives were conducting surveillance in the area of Avon Street when they noticed someone leave a residence, hop into a vehicle and then hop out of the same vehicle 30 yards down the road. Police found 49 bags of heroin totaling 27 grams. The operator of the vehicle was arrested and charged with drug trafficking.
