THE MERSEY BROTHERS
The Mersey Brothers Duo was formed 18 months ago by two musicians bonded
by a common fascination for the great songs of the British Invasion. Bernie
Banks, lead singer and rhythm guitarist grew up in Liverpool where he
saw the Beatles and other Merseyside bands as a kid. Phil
Dubuque on lead guitar and backing vocals is a life-long musician who
played in Chuck Berry's band at age 18 and went on to sign with
Chrysalis Artists Ltd., in London at age 22. Phil
played concerts throughout Europe with his own band sharing the bill
with Supertramp, Robert Palmer, Procol Harum and Emerson, Lake and
Palmer and many other popular rock bands on the 1970's. The Mersey Brothers perform hours of music from The Hollies,
The Beatles, Gerry and the Pacemakers, The Everly Brothers, Herman's
Hermits and Roy Orbison to name only a few from this dynamic and
exciting era of rock 'n roll. With
light prerecorded drums and bass in the background Bernie and Phil (no
relation!) present a full rich sound of the very best songs from that
magical era of 1960's.
