Join the Middlesex Concert Band (MCB) for its eighth annual children’s concert, “The ABCs of Music”, presented for free. The band will perform familiar, traditional, and popular music. Sing along with “Do Re Mi” from The Sound of Music, watch as one lucky child conducts the band during Stars and Stripes Forever, and hear variations on the patriotic tune America. Get to know some of our instruments as the flutes show off during Henry Simeone’s Flute Cocktailand the clarinets counter during Clarinets Allegro by Frank D. Cofield. Other pieces includeThe Mother Hubbard March by John Philip Sousa, selections from the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, and Down a Country Lane by Aaron Copland.
