Aug. 29 @12:19 a.m.: Police received a report of a damaged and knocked down yield sign in the area of Main Street and Albion Avenue. At 10:08 a.m., Wakefield police were called to a restaurant on Tuttle Street for a report of larceny. The restaurant owner claimed a man at the restaurant allegedly stole more than $64 in food without paying for it. James McLennan, 47, of 1 Hickory Hill Road, Wakefield, was arrested and charged with larceny under $250. At 2:59 p.m., police responded to Hart Street to serve an arrest warrant.
