Several employees and friends of The Savings Bank came out to support the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield during the recent Jazz Brunch at Bear Hill Golf Club. Among those who enjoyed the brunch and the music provided by the Jack Band were (seated, left to right) staff members Paula Pustorino, Angela Staffiere, Dorothy Canney, and (standing, left to right) Danielle Laurina, Kelly Rivers, Greenwood Office Manager Geri Rowe, Elena Lopes and guest Jennifer Rowe.

Local organization has provided $10 million to Wakefield's college-bound students since its inception in 1960.
Last weekend, the Citizens Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield drew a large number of supporters to its jazz brunch fundraiser. In this photo, CSF President Faith Hodgkins is shown with State Reps. Paul Brodeur (left) and Donald Wong. According to an announcement from the event, this year alone the Citizens Scholarship Foundation will award about $400,000 to Wakefield's students. The Citizens Scholarship Foundation was established in 1960 and since its inceptioln has awarded about $10 million to Wakefield's college-bound students. The following was provided by Wakefield's Citizen Scholarship Foundation: Student and adult Directors of the Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Wakefield gathered to present reports of the concluding year, to elect a new President and Board of Directors and to hear of plans for the upcoming year at the organization’s 52nd Annual Meeting. The members enjoyed a delicious buffet dinner catered by Chuck Geier of the Chuck Wagon Diner. The Nominating Committee, chaired by Bob Leahy, welcomed two new directors, Kacper Kruszewski and Christina Mogni. Steven M. Coyne was warmly thanked for his two years of service as President.
