Police Log: Wakefield Man Accused of Driving While on Drugs

Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.] At 7:58 p.m. Sept. 3, a cell phone caller reported being behind a vehicle all over the road, crosing the yellow lines multiple times on Nahant Street toward North Avenue, according to Wakefield Police. Police made a motor vehicle stop on Richardson Avenue. Angelo Luongo, 32, of 41 Richardson Ave., Wakefield, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. Police Arrest Everett Man in Connection with Bank Robbery

A 27-year-old Everett man was taken into custody Friday after officials investigated a robbery at the East Boston Savings Bank.

Wakefield Police arrested a 27-year-old Everett man Friday for his role in the East Boston Savings Bank robbery Sept. 29. According to Wakefield Police Chief Richard Smith, Enver Ikanovic, 27, of Everett,  was arrested and charged with the robbery. Police said Saturday that civilian witnesses and video surveillance assisted police in identifying Ikanovic. According to police, Ikanovic walked into the East Boston Savings Bank on Thursday, Sept. 29, around 3 p.m. and passed a bank teller a note demanding money and saying he had a weapon. No weapon was shown at the time of the incident, said police. A dye pack exploded after the suspect received the money. The suspect fled the business and left driving down Albion Street.
