Event Spotlight: Concert to Benefit Wakefield Alliance Against Violence

From the organizer: The Senior Tones, a popular local Do-wop singing group, will perform at a dinner concert on Thursday, September 15, 2011 to benefit Wakefield Alliance Against Violence (WAAV). The event will take place at the Crystal Community Club and will be catered by the Chuck Wagon Diner. Bob Eldridge, one of WAAV's founding members and its current president, is a member of the Senior Tones. “We're just a bunch of guys who like to get together and sing, have a good time,” he says modestly. However, the smooth harmonies and witty banter of their polished performances, as well as the snappy, coordinated outfits worn by the singers, hint at a group of men who work hard at their craft in order to show their audiences a good time.
