St. Joseph Walk-A-Thon /Health & Wellness Fair is Sunday

Proceeds from the event at the gazebo benefit the school's 2nd Century Capital Campaign.

The following information was provided by St. Joseph School: St. Joseph School is holding a Walk-A-Thon for Family and Faith as part of a  Health & Wellness Fair on Sunday June 2, 2013 at Lake Quannapowitt.The money raise by the students will be donated to the 2nd Century Capital Campaign, which has allowed Saint Joseph School to expand, both physically and academically.  Anyone interested in pledging a student can do so after any of the Masses this weekend, May 25th and 26th, at the Walk-A-Thon table in the vestibule of St. Joseph Church. The Walk-A-Thon will include a Health and Wellness Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the gazebo, featuring local health, wellness, and fitness sponsors including Advocare, HDPT Physical Therapy (Wakefield…

St. Joseph's Wins Division Championship Game

St. Joseph School 5th and 6th graders finished season with undefeated record.

Saturday night Malden Catholic High School hosted Saint Joseph School Wakefield (SJS) as they competed for and won the championship title of Junior Division for the Middlesex Catholic Elementary School Basketball League against Revere’s Immaculate Conception (IC) with a 38 -25 win.  The SJS 5th and 6th grade boys’ team finished the season with an undefeated record this season.  Sixth graders Joe Greenwood and Nick Scarpello lead the way for the Hawks offensively while Casey Brackett, Frank Cancelliere, Matt Farrell and Sean Clark all had key defensive plays to limit IC’s scoring.  Fifth graders Dan LaMonica, Alex Pacy and Matt Fish all had a great night and each assisted the offense and defense with some key plays including a basket by Dan…
