Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, January 4th and Sunday, January 6th. On Friday, January 4th at 9:50 a.m., a caller reported a minor hit and run accident on Albion Street. The driver of the other vehicle soon returned to the scene. At 1:50 p.m., a librarian informed police that a theft suspect from a past incident was back in the library. Police soon issued a summons to a 57 year old Wakefield man for larceny under $250. At 1:58 p.m., police arrested John B. Wood, 56, address unknown, on North Ave. for trespassing, possession of a class B drug (Methadone) and possession of a class E drug (Ritalin). Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. At 9:54 a.m., police served a no trespassing order to an individual. At 10:15, an individual reported a case of identity theft and a fraudulent purchase. At 10:41 a.m., an individual at a local business informed police that a possibly counterfeit $100 bill had been passed to them the day before. Further investigation found that the bill was indeed counterfeit. At 12:28 p.m., police took a walk-in larceny report. At 1:05 p.m., police took a report involving workplace harassment. At 2:53 p.m., a missing jewelry box was reported on Woodbury Road. At 6:59 p.m., police responded to a verbal domestic dispute on Main Street. At 8:57 p.m., a possible domestic disturbance was reported on Main Street. Police placed a woman into protective custody. At 9:29 p.m., a caller reported receiving threats. Police instructed the culprit to stop.
