My name is Lightning and I am a stunning, young cat who is more than ready to get some me time. I don’t know why they call me Lightning, because if I am fast, it is only because I have been dashing after kittens. Babies, babies, babies, oh my. VIDEO: Time Lapse of Wednesday's Severe Thunderstorm in Wakefield

A line of severe thunderstorms moved through Wakefield on Tuesday afternoon.

A large line of severe thunderstorms passed through Wakefield on Wednesday afternoon, knocking down tree limbs and leaving some Wakefield residents without power. In addition to thunder and lightning, the storms produced heavy rain, high winds and even large hail in some areas. The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook early on Wednesday, noting that a severe thunderstorm cell was headed straight for the Wakefield area.  The storm rolled in around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, first with dark, menacing clouds, then severe lightning followed by high winds and pouring rain.
