The Wakefield Event Planning Committee held their fourth annual Holiday Stroll with light snow flurries for an added touch. The Event was heavily attended with many events beng held at various locations around the twon.

Over the weekend, Wakefielders converged on the downtown area for the annual holiday stroll event, featuring everything  parade, dance performances, ice sculptures, caroling and much more. Five Things to Know Today, Dec. 2

Wakefield's tree lighting ceremony is tonight, the Wakefield Repertory Theater puts on a Broadway cabaret show, there's a lot of great events all happening this weekend, and more things to know today.

1. Sun and maybe rain - There's 20 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m., but otherwise, it should be sunny, with a high near 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. 2. Super Bowl - Saturday's Super Bowl game versus Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School: 3 p.m., at Manning Field in Lynn, MA. Tickets will be sold at the gate only, and cost $7 for students and $10 for adults. 1. Rainy - Today will be cloudy with a high near 72, and a 70 percent chance of rain, although it's unclear if we'll see a regular rainstorm or a thunderstorm. 2. Today in Wakefield sports - Boys varisty golf plays Winthrop at 3:30 p.m. at home. 3. Woodville PTO -Don't forget about the Woodville PTO's Parents Night Out, a fun-filled night with a live band to benefit the Woodville School.
