Resident Reports Car Stolen, But It Had Been Repossessed

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2012: At 7:55 a.m., a resident spotted a raccoon wandering around during daylight on Aldrich Road. Animal Control was contacted. At 9:43 a.m., an 18-year-old student at the Yeuell School on Crystal Street was taken to Salem Hospital after threatening to harm himself and others. At 10:39 a.m., someone on Cooper Street reported his or her car stolen. It had actually been repossessed, so the person was directed to call the financing company. At 11:55 a.m., there was a two-car crash at North Avenue and Linda Road. At noon, a Pitman Avenue resident reported receiving a scam attempt via phone.
