This roast beef joint is truly an institution in the Wakefield community. Billy's has an expansive menu that includes onion rings, cold cuts and even lobster rolls, but it's clear that the restaurant's titular namesake is the house special. Roast beef comes rare and on thick onion rolls here, and as construction workers, cops and retirees stream through the doors, orders are shouted loudly over an intercom and customers get the feeling that their meal is going to be very tasty indeed. There is plenty of seating but the restaurant fills up fast. The interior features portraits of local sports teams and photos of employees who have been deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
