Walk of Hope for ALS is Saturday

The 12th annual Walk of Hope for ALS is this Saturday, September 7 around Lake Quannapowitt. Registration is 9 a.m., and the walk is at 11 a.m. To learn more about this event, click here.

Coming up on Monday, September 16, local author Anthony Sammarco will speak at the Beebe Library in downtown Wakefield about his new book, “A History of Howard Johnson’s."

Later that week, Kevin Gardner, author of “The Granite Kiss: Traditions and Techniques of Building New England Stone Walls” will speak at the Old Meeting House in Lynnfield, across the street from the library, on Wednesday, September 18 at 7:30 p.m.

State Senator Katherine Clark has announced an office hour for Wakefield constituents on Friday, September 20 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Wakefield Council on Aging, 30 Converse Street.

Wakefield History Scavenger Hunt: The Unitarian Universalist Church in downtown Wakefield is holding a Wakefield History Scavenger Hunt on Sunday, September 22 from 3 to 6  p.m. All answers can reportedly be found without any prior knowledge of Wakefield history, and all ages are welcome.
