Stroll To Remember and Meet Me In St. Louis This Weekend

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Friday, October 4. Here are five things worth knowing today.

This Sunday, October 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., it’s the 5K Stroll to Remember around Lake Quannapowitt to help the David K. Johnson Foundation’s work against Alzheimer’s Disease. Click here to learn more about the foundation and the event.

Wakefield Repertory Theatre presents “Meet Me in St. Louis” this weekend. Shows are Friday, October 4 at 8 p.m., Saturday, October 5 at 8 p.m., and Sunday, October 6 at 3 p.m. at the Wakefield-Lynnfield United Methodist Church.  Order tickets at this link

Next Friday, October 11 at 7 p.m., a Love for Haiti concert is at St. Joseph Parish, 173 Albion Street, with a 6:15 p.m. pre-concert social as well as raffles and a silent auction. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door, $5 for kids 10 and under.

Community Art Show: The Friends of Lake Quannapowitt are holding a community art show later this fall at the Americal Civic Center in Wakefield. The show opens Nov. 8 and members of the community are invited to submit a variety of media. Click here for complete information.
