Cory Pesaturo And Zulu Time Open SRO Concert Season

Concert is Saturday, October 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Unitarian Universalist Church in downtown Wakefield.

The following was provided by the Standing Room Only Concert Series:

Among his colleagues accordionist Cory Pesaturo is the king of “Firsts” and “Youngests”: the youngest ever to perform at a White House State Dinner (age 12); the youngest accordionist to solo with a symphony orchestra (age 13); the youngest National Champion (age 15); the only accordion major to graduate from New England Conservatory; and the first and only triple world accordion champion: jazz, acoustic and digital.

Fresh from an appearance on Late Show with David Letterman, Cory Pesaturo brings his Zulu Time trio to open the fifth SRO season, Back by Popular Demand” on Saturday, October 19 at 7:30pm. Rounding out the trio are violinist Gabriel Solomon and double bassist Richey Talley. As a dynamic acoustic trio, they have cemented a magnetic onstage chemistry that is both serious and slightly irreverent. The band has an omnivorous musical appetite, with repertoire spanning genres from jazz, musette, tango, klezmer, folk music of Bulgaria and Macedonia, classical, and original compositions.
