Winter Concert, Messiah Sing and Holiday Pops Concert Coming Up

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Monday, Dec. 9. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

Wakefield High School presents its Winter Concert this Thursday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m. in The Savings Bank Theatre at the High School.  

This Thursday, Dec. 12 through Sunday, Dec. 15, the Quannapowitt Players present just four performances of six short plays as “The Suburban Holiday New Play Festival.” Click here for ticket info and more

This Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at First Parish Congregational Church, it’s the Wakefield Community Messiah Sing, with portions of Handel’s Messiah by professional soloists and a 15-piece chamber orchestra. Free will offering, with a reception after the sing. 

Coming up Saturday, Dec. 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the Americal Civic Center, the Wakefield Choral Society and the Middlesex Concert Band present a holiday pops concert with choral and band music. Reserved tables for 8 and 10 are available, as well as unreserved seats for $15 each. Click here for more.
