Harrington's 5K Road Race This Morning

A look at what's coming up in and around Wakefield.

Today is Monday, October 14. Here are five things worth knowing today. 

This morning at 10 a.m., it’s the 3rd annual Harrington’s 5K Road Race, to benefit the Wakefield High School Cross Country and Track and Field Boosters. Event is at Lake Quannapowitt starting near Church and Main Streets. There’s also a one mile fun run for those 14 and under at 9:30 a.m. Click here to register and to learn more.

The Wakefield Walk to Defeat ALS is this Saturday, October 19 at 10 a.m. at Lake Quannapowitt. Information about getting involved and/or making a contribution is available at this link.

The Arts Collaborative of Wakefield is teaming up with businesses on Albion Street for the Arts on Albion next weekend, October 19 and 20. Free art demonstrations, music, exhibits and creative family activities are planned. Learn more about it here

Members of the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce and others are getting together on Sunday, October 20 at noon at Sanborn Place Adult Care Center at Lakeside Office Park on North Ave. to watch the Patriots play the Jets. Along with the game on big screen TVs, there will be a cash bar, pool, pinball, and more. $10 for Chamber members, $20 for others. Click here to learn more.
