Fashion Show And Auction Among This Week's Events

On Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m., the Beebe Library welcomes cave explorer Aaron Tester for a talk about his experiences exploring the various types of caves found in Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky and elsewhere.

Coming up this Saturday, November 9 at 6:30 p.m., the Unitarian Universalist Church of Wakefield holds its annual fundraising auction. Click here for more information.

St. Joseph’s Church in Wakefield has announced a fashion show and luncheon event coming up Saturday, November 9 from 1 to 2 p.m. Event sponsored by several area businesses, including Rada Boutique in Wakefield. Wakefield DPW has announced curbside leaf and yard waste collections on Saturday, Nov. 9 and Saturday, Nov. 23. All containers must be curbside by 7 a.m., with leaves and grass placed in biodegradable paper bags or barrels. Branches must be tied in bundles, no larger than 3 feet long and 16 inches in diameter.
