Blood Drive for Children's Hospital and The Jimmy Fund October 25 and 27

It is time once again for the Blood drive for Children’s Hospital and the Jimmy Fund Clinic. Our drive has recently took on another honoree Ashley’s grandmother, Annabelle Cashell, or Grammy as she is affectionately known by all her grandchildren. Annabelle was struck by a car on Friday September 30 while crossing Main Street in Stoneham Square. She received many serious injuries and has had three blood transfusions during her treatment. Annabelle has been a lifelong resident of Stoneham and has strong roots in the community. Annabelle is a retired town employee having held many secretarial positions at the Stoneham High School prior to her retirement. Our family is once again experiencing the importance of blood donations and the need for whole blood and blood products. The Blood collected at our drive is used at Children’s Hospital Boston and the Jimmy Fund Clinic at Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Our Drive will be held on Tuesday October 25 and Thursday October 27 from 1 PM to 8 PM both days at the West Side Social Club 4 Harrington Court Wakefield, MA 01880. Walk Ins are welcome, but appointments are suggested to avoid any possible wait.

To make an appointment please log on to www.halfpints.childrenshospital.org and enter sponsor code wsc, or you may call Mark Cashell at 978-604-9566. A positive ID is required.

This Drive is also in honor of Gianna Martiniello and Anthony Stancato of Stoneham, Nicholas Barbaro, Ashley Cashell, Patrick Connolly, Jessica Downing, Scott Einarson, Lyndsey Pettengil, Courtney Robichaud, Milana Rufo, and in the Memory of Dillon Ahern and Christopher Barnes. Each pint helps four children, please be their silent hero.
