The Wakefield Club is Seeking New Sponsors

The Boys & Girls Club Comes to Wakefield

The word is out that we are bringing a new Boys & Girls Club to the town of Wakefield. Through the dedicated work of a local task force of Wakefield residents and the assistance of the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham, our vision of offering high-impact, fun, and engaging youth programs for a wide range of age groups has become a reality. Starting this fall, the Wakefield Club will be open Monday through Friday after school, at the Americal Civic Center.

Similar to the Boys & Girls Club of Stoneham’s facility, the new location will be designed to best accommodate youth who attend the Club, and Club staff will deliver programming developed to cover five core program areas: character and leadership development, education and career development, health and life skills, the arts, and sports and recreation. Our organization, which has been serving the local community for 41 years, maintains a very affordable membership of $25 for the entire year, which is substantially lower than all afterschool programs in the community. Our low cost encourages all youth to attend our programming, and assists us in reaching our mission, "To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens". We aim to provide a safe environment where children and adolescents are provided an opportunity to learn, develop, and are inspired to be the best that they can be.

Sponsorship Program

In order to maintain our very affordable membership cost, the Club must reach out to individuals and businesses in the community for support for the great service we provide to the community. One of the central methods of helping to support the Club is our Sponsorship Program. This program provides businesses a straight forward model for donating to the Club, and also being provided a variety of promotional opportunities. Our Club works very hard to make sure all sponsors are properly recognized; whether that means featuring your business on the Club’s website, featuring your business on the Club’s active social media channels, being listed as an event sponsor, photo opportunities to be submitted to the local press, and many other opportunities as well. You can read more about the sponsorship program here: http://bit.ly/13LI0OS.

The Club’s Sponsorship Program is part of the Wakeifeld Club’s ‘Open the Door Campaign’. This campaign is aimed at not only opening the doors to a new Club site, but also keeping the doors open and ensuring we can continue to offer our services to youth in the greater community for many years to come.
