I had never heard about capacitors until I tried to fix my fan a couple of months ago. I unplugged it completely from the wall before I took the motor apart. I got quite the shock from it. I had now idea that it could still hold a charge after being unplugged. I always get a professional to help me now with any electrical issues. http://www.bnelectricinc.com
