Burlington Swim and Tennis Club Invites Area Residents to 57th Season

The following information was provided by Burlington Swim and Tennis Club.

The Burlington Swim and Tennis Club is excited to kick-off its 57th season. Located off of Center Street, in the heart of Burlington, the BSTC offers a picturesque and private environment for families to enjoy the summer. The BSTC is a non-profit volunteer operated swim/ tennis/ social club.

The BSTC offers its members the enjoyment of two pools providing opportunity for exercise and leisure. The “big pool” is a five lane, competition sized pool with lifeguards on duty. The kiddie pool is the perfect size for infants and children just learning to swim, to safely play and splash. Next to the pools is a large playground with a sandbox area.

Members may also participate in group swim and tennis lessons for a very reasonable rate. Throughout the summer there are many family oriented activities including family day, campouts, movie nights and more. For the older kids in the family, we offer several tween and teen nights throughout the season, with swimming, pizza, and music.

The BSTC is excited to announce many facility improvements for the 2014 season. The improvements include new chaise lounge chairs for the pool area, a new fence around the pool area, updates and improvements to the snack shack area, improvements to the clubhouse, as well as landscape upgrades.

New for the 2014 season is the addition of a Program Director. The BSTC is proud to welcome Chrissy Cerretani in this role! Chrissy is an accomplished tennis player and is Boston University's current NCAA Division I Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach, and is also World Tour Tennis Coach. The BSTC is extremely lucky to have the multi-talented Cerratani on board. Chrissy will coordinate many children and family oriented activities, throughout the summer. In addition, she will help the tennis coaches implement a new and improved tennis program.

Burlington residency is not a requirement for membership, as there are members from many area communities including: Billerica, Reading, North Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield, Woburn, Winchester, and Wilmington

Family membership costs $799 for the season and weekend only or single membership costs $399 for the season.

Pease feel free to stop by for a tour when the club opens Memorial Day weekend. Open Houses will also be held on Saturday May 31st and Sunday June 1st from noon to 6pm. More information about the club can be found on our website www.bstc.org.
