Wakefield Man Arrested In New Hampshire

Local man was reportedly sought in connection with a stabbing, Manchester, NH K-9 unit apprehends suspect in heavy brush.

A 19 year old Wakefield man was arrested in Hooksett, NH over the weekend in connection with a stabbing.

According to Manchester, NH police, Jacob MacDermot of Wakefield, Mass., was arrested with help from a K-9 unit near a home on Martin’s Ferry Road in Hooksett where what was described as a stabbing incident occurred.

Manchester K-9 Officer Ben Foster and his K-9, Moose, reportedly found MacDermot hiding under heavy brush in woods about 200 yards away from the house in question. MacDermot’s vehicle was reportedly parked at the address. The report added that “the suspect would not comply with commands to surrender and K-9 Moose was deployed to make the apprehension.”

There was allegedly a brief struggle that occurred before MacDermot was handcuffed, and he was later treated at Elliot Hospital for a bite wound to his thigh.
