Do you like to follow the news of the day? Would you enjoy discussing current events in a lively but civil forum?
Starting Tuesday, Sept. 18, Beebe Library will be offering a chance for people to participate in twice monthly open discussions of the latest regional, national and world news, with a sprinkling of pop culture in the mix.
“News and Views” will be moderated by Peggy Dillon, a professor of communications at Salem State University. Ms. Dillon is the author of several books, including, “Seeking the Greatest Good: the Public Welfare Foundation” and “Crooked Road: The Story of the Alaska Highway.”

As moderator, it will be Ms. Dillon’s role to prepare the topics for each meeting, provide some background information and keep the discussion moving.
