On Saturday, hundreds of friends and family members of Wakefield High School Class of 2013 braved the heat and turned out for the annual graduation ceremony.

Nearly 250 graduating seniors filed into the school's gymnasium to the traditional Pomp and Circumstance, greeted by speakers such as outgoing Interim Superintendent Dr. Gerry Murphy and their Principal, Dr. Kim Smith and School Committee Chair Anne Danehy.

Valedictorian Kelly Broderick-Sander and Salutatorian Sarah Boland later addressed the audience.

"These four years were the gateway between childhood and real life. Prior to this, we were children with very little control over our lives," said Sander.

In these attached files, you can check out this year's valedictorian and salutatorian speeches, as well as some of the other key remarks delivered by graduating students.
