Citizens' Scholarship Foundation Jazz Brunch is March 3

Jazz Brunch is March 3rd at Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham.

 

The Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation (CSF) of Wakefield will host a jazz brunch on Sunday, March 3rd from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bear Hill Golf Club in Stoneham. This will take the place of the annual CSF Dinner Dance.

“This is an exciting change, one that will be a welcome addition to our fundraising and social activities,” CSF of Wakefield President Faith Hodgkins said. “We invite everyone to join us on March 3rd to enjoy a leisurely Sunday brunch and music provided by the JACK Band.”

The JACK Band, a Boston based jazz/funk group has been playing together since the fall 2010. The quartet, comprised of seniors on scholarship to Berklee College of Music, includes Joel Hill on piano, Alex Labrie on guitar, Casey Andersen on bass, and Kevin McGowan on drums. Their diverse repertoire ranges from jazz standards to classic funk/R&B tunes. Whether it's Charlie Parker or James Brown, the JACK band delivers a high quality performance with great energy.  The group has played at weddings, cocktail hours, clubs, hotels, private parties, and jazz bars.

Tickets are $30 per person and can be purchased at the CSF office at the Americal Civic Center,  (781) 245-4890 or by Mastercard and Visa at the Wakefield Item, 26 Albion Street. Tables of 8 to 10 can also be reserved.
