Homes Sales Up In Wakefield Since Last Year

August saw 31 homes sold in Wakefield, according to new Warren Group data.

Home sales in Wakefield have posted a noticeable gain over last year, according to new data from the Warren Group.

The latest monthly report found that during the month of August, 31 homes were sold in Wakefield, compared to 24 for that month last year. This marks a gain of about 29%. 

Year to date, 147 homes were sold as of the end of August, 2013 in Wakefield. Last year at that time, the figure stood at 124, for a gain of more than 18%.

The median sales price in Wakefield as of the end of August was $407,000, up more than 7% from last year, when it was $379,175 at the end of August.
