The Wakefield Building
Inspector's June report was
recently released and
shows that the town permitted roughly $2.72 million in home construction
and renovations last month.
For that total amount of work, the town collected $78,141 in building permit fees.
Projects in June consisted of three home construction projects, three pool
constructions and roughly 280 inspections, either plumbing, electrical or
The building department issued a total of roughly 200 permits for plumbing, electrical or building.
Some home projects included a $330,000 home construction project, a $3,500 bathroom remodeling project, and a $2,500 project to take down a non-bearing wall and partial ceiling.
