Thank You, Lynnfield

The following is a letter to the residents of Lynnfield from State Senator Katherine Clark:

January brings the start of a new legislative session, and this week I will be sworn in for a new term representing the 5th Middlesex District.  However, due to redistricting mandated each decade, this District no longer includes Lynnfield.  The Town of Lynnfield will be ably represented by my colleague and friend Senator Tom McGee, and we will continue to work closely together on a number of priorities.

Though I may not represent Lynnfield in the State Senate, I certainly will continue to hold your wonderful community close to my heart.  I thank you for all you have taught me and for all that you do each and every day to build a stronger, safer and more compassionate community.  In your businesses, your schools, your civic organizations, your non-profits, and your houses of worship, I have seen a dedication to community that I will continue to admire and draw on.

And so, as I take the oath of office, I will do so with an eye to the shared priorities of our communities, families and local businesses.    I look forward to pursuing a legislative agenda that reflects the priorities not only of my newly formed district, but of Lynnfield and cities and towns across the state: to create jobs, grow our local businesses, and strengthen our schools, communities and public transportation system, all while improving the state’s fiscal health.

As we pursue these and other priorities, I hope you will keep in touch.  I can be reached at katherine.clark@masenate.gov  or 617-722-1206.
