Line Crews Thanked For Work At Town Community Events

Crews provide power for Holiday Stroll, Farmer's Market, and many other events and activities.

Wakefield Event Planning Committee Chair Paul DiNocco, second from left, recently thanked the Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department electric line crews for the work they do behind the scenes to prepare for community events. According to DiNocco, the crews not only help provide the electricity for the holiday lights and the committee’s Holiday Stroll, they have permanent power sources in the downtown area, on the Common, and at Hall Park/Veterans’ Field for the Farmers’ Market and other activities held throughout the year.

Accepting the accolades are (from left to right) Lead Lineworker Ralph Brown; DiNocco; Lineworkers Kurt Bode, Ed Gaudreau and Brendon McDonough; Lead Lineworker Bill Gaffney; and Lineworkers Nick DiPietro, Mike Capraro and Brian Motroni. (Not pictured: Lead Lineworker Rich Fedele.)
