Senator Katherine Clark (D-Middlesex & Essex) has received the noteworthy “Legislator of the Year” award from the Massachusetts Police Association (MPA). Clark was invited to attend the MPA’s 2012 Annual Convention last week to accept the award, bestowed in recognition of her tireless efforts on behalf of police officers throughout the Commonwealth.
“Senator Clark has always conducted herself with class and dignity. She has shown a passion to tackle some of the most difficult issues facing the Commonwealth always mindful of the impact on its citizens,” Said Jim Machado, the MPA Executive Director. “The Massachusetts Police Association is proud to recognize her efforts.”
The MPA represents Massachusetts law enforcement officers. Their mission includes the promotion of legislation aimed at the preservation of public safety, as well as the facilitation of administering criminal justice.
“The Massachusetts Police Association has a long and distinguished history of doing all it takes to preserve public safety for all of us in the Commonwealth. Working with them on significant and common sense public safety priorities has been very rewarding. I am honored to have received this award,” said Clark.
