Would-Be Scrap Metal Thieves And An Obscene Phone Call

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, December 19th, 2012.

At 10:17 a.m., police and rescue personnel were informed of an individual having an allergic reaction to a flu shot.
At 12:28 p.m., a caller reported that a man and woman were on his property trying to steal scrap metal. They reportedly lied about having permission from the contractor and drove off in a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee.
At 12:48 p.m., police dispersed a group of youths who had been causing a disturbance in front of the library.
At 1:22 p.m., police were called to a Main Street business after a youth apparently damaged a store window by accident.
At 2:32 p.m., a caller reported youths skateboarding in the middle of Main Street. None were spotted.
At 4:46 p.m., an individual reported receiving an obscene phone call.
At 4:56 p.m., a woman reported fraudulent activity on her phone account as well as receiving suspicious phone calls.
At 8:31 p.m., police notified Melrose of an erratic operator heading into their town.
