Would-Be Burglar Flees Down Main Street

At 8:30 a.m., an individual walked in to report a past hit and run.
At 8:59 a.m., a man reported his credit card was used without his authority.
At 9:15 a.m., a Montrose Ave. resident reported mail was stolen from the mailbox.
At 9:31 a.m., a loose pit bull mix was reported on Parker Road and Prospect Street. It appeared to be friendly with a collar and Animal Control was notified.
At 12:27 p.m., a woman reported that somebody had spray-painted a fence behind the Masonic Temple on Salem Street.
At 2:04 p.m., a man reported that his car was keyed sometime during the night.
At 2:24 p.m., a caller reported a possible breaking and entering in progress. A man descrbed as a white male in his late teens or 20s with a short crew cut, dark skin and a white tank top was spotted fleeing south on Main Street.
A caller on Shady Ave. reported that some youths were going into the woods to create a “party spot” and to build a campfire. Officers sent them on their way and the fire was extinguished.
At 4:19 p.m., police went to Oak Street for a reported disturbance involving an intoxicated male. Peace was restored.
