Woman Reported Trying Car Doors, and a Call Comes From Another Wakefield

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, July 23, 2013.

At 10:55 a.m. a caller reported an accident on Main Street near Walgreen’s.
At 12:05 p.m. a woman reported her vehicle had been vandalized.
At 1:30 p.m. a caller reported her car was hit while it was parked. The other driver turned out to have left a note and paperwork was exchanged.
At 2:01 p.m. police took a report from Bay State Road involving the theft of catalytic converters.
At 3:39 p.m. a caller reported a woman near North Ave. and Church Street was trying door handles on parked cars. She said she was collecting cans and an officer sent her on her way.
At 5:14 p.m. a minor accident was reported on North Ave.
At 11:49 p.m. a woman reported that somebody in a dark colored sedan with several occupants had thrown something at her vehicle near Carriage Lane and Main Street.
At 5:22 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, a caller attempted to report a stolen motorcycle. They turned out to be from Wakefield, Rhode Island and were referred to police in that town.
