Woman Charged With Stealing Laptop

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, September 9, 2013.

At 8:36 a.m. an accident was reported on the Route 129 Rotary. State Police investigated.
At 9:45 a.m. police took a report of minor vandalism on Foundry Street.
At 10:12 a.m. a vandalized window was reported on Foundry Street.
At 1:59 p.m. police took a report of a stolen bicycle and stolen lacrosse equipment on Main Street.
At 3:43 p.m. an accident was reported on Lowell Street.
At 3:44 p.m. a caller reported a man outside the library, described as “out of it,” and carrying a guitar and a possible pistol with holster on his right hip, going into the library. He checked out OK and was not carrying a gun but a legal knife. Library personnel also turned out to know the individual and found him to not be causing a problem.
At 3:54 p.m. police took a report of a past break-in on Gladstone Street.
At 7:35 p.m. police checked on an argument between siblings on Richardson Ave.
At 8:27 p.m. police arrested Vicki M. Crockett, 42, 71 Pleasant Street, Wakefield, and charged her with breaking and entering a building in the daytime for a felony, and larceny over $250 (laptop computer).
At 9:38 p.m. a caller on Park Street reported a suspicious man in black clothing with a guitar case walking around looking at people entering and exiting their homes. He was gone on arrival.
At 10:32 p.m. Wakefield and State Police responded to 128 North for a reported accident.
At 10:45 p.m. police issued a summons to a 40 year old Reading man charging him with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
