Wednesday Calls Include One Arrest and a Drunken Customer

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, February 6th, 2013.
At 10:35 a.m. police arrested Gary Paul Schettini, 44, 81 Chestnut Street, Wakefield, for violating a 209A abuse prevention order and for failing to register as a sex offender.
At 11:41 a.m. a caller reported receiving threatening emails. Police reported the emails appeared to be a scam and advised the person not to reply.
At 11:41 a.m. a Cordis Street resident reported that his neighbor’s garage door was open and that nobody appeared to be home. The homeowner confirmed that it was just an oversight.
At 2:38 p.m. an apparently intoxicated man attempted to buy liquor on Main Street, was declined, and drove away. Stoneham Police were also notified. The driver was gone on arrival.
At 2:39 p.m. a minor hit and run accident was reported near Main and Greenwood streets.
At 7:36 p.m. a man reported being bitten on the hand by a dog the day before on Randall Terrace.
At 8:50 p.m. a caller reported a woman appeared to be sleeping in a car on Audubon Road. She was gone on arrival.
