Wakefield K-9 Called to Reading, Finds Two Bags of Heroin in Car

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, August 28, 2013.
At 8:09 a.m. an accident was reported on Pleasant Street.
At 9:20 a.m. police did a well-being check on Wiley Street.
At 10:34 a.m. a man reported being bitten by a dog on Water Street.
At 11:12 a.m. a Rochelle Drive resident reported that a man may have just removed a bicycle from a neighbor’s back yard. He turned out to be checking on the house while the neighbors were away.
At 1:31 p.m. a truck reportedly struck a pole and knocked down some wires on Sumner Ave.
At 2:48 p.m. police arrested Joseph A. Tammaro, 26 Prospect Street, Wakefield, and charged him on three warrants.
At 3:11 p.m. Wakefield’s K-9 unit assisted with a vehicle search in Reading at the request of that town’s police department. The K-9 reportedly found two bags of heroin.
At 8:04 p.m. police took a report involving possible fraud.
At 8:26 p.m. a verbal dispute was reported at the corner of Oak Street and Green Street.
At 9:12 p.m. a Myrtle Ave. resident called about an ongoing issue with work noise from a neighbor. All was quiet on arrival.
