Wakefield Fire Department Responds to Nearly 300 Incidents in June

The Wakefield Fire Department released a breakdown of their calls last month.

The Wakefield June Fire Department Report was recently released and it states that the department handled 291 incidents last month.

In June, Wakefield Fire responded to a total of 5 brush fires, 1 motor vehicle fire and 6 water emergencies. 

Wakefield Fire Lt. Phil Preston's crew covered the Lynnfield Fire Station while they were tied up at multiple incident on during day on June 15. 

The department responded to a total of 7 calls from nearby fire departments requesting assistance, or mutual aid. Three of those calls were for Melrose, three of them were for Lynnfield and one was for Stoneham. 

The department also issued a total of 2 blasting or fireworks permits.
