Violin Reported Missing From The Middle School

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, August 29, 2013.
At 10:02 a.m. police arrested Mark B. Hatch,  51, 24 Cedar Street, Wakefield, and charged him on a warrant.
At 2 p.m. a caller complained about loud engine noises at Viking Motor Sports on Valley Street. Police found all to be quiet upon arrival.
At 3:23 p.m. police took a walk-in report of a violin stolen from the middle school. In a follow up email, police reported that the violin, valued at about $500, had been stored in the music room and had apparently been missing since late June. Police and the school are reportedly unsure whether the violin was stolen at this point, or whether it was accidentally taken home by a student.
At 3:41 p.m. police and rescue personnel responded to Montclare Ave. after a girl broke her arm.
At 5:24 p.m. police responded to a problem between roommates on Kendrick Road.
At 8:49 p.m. police were informed that some youths at the top of the Edgewater Drive parking garage were drinking, damaging property, and refusing to leave, which was described as an ongoing problem. Upon arrival, police found only two individuals who were sent on their way, and no sign of alcohol use.
