Vehicles Strike Poles In Two Separate Accidents

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, October 17, 2013.
At 9:57 a.m. police took a complaint about solicitors on Plymouth Road.
At 12:47 p.m. an accident was reported on North Ave.
At 5:18 p.m. Wakefield Police picked up a suspect from Saugus Police on a warrant. Police arrested Marc. J. Roberto, 18, 1 Great Woods Road, Saugus, and charged him on a warrant.
At 5:51 p.m. police took a complaint involving harassment from a neighbor over an ongoing dispute.
At 7:06 p.m. a caller reported a car struck a pole and the occupant fled on Main Street. Police found the vehicle unoccupied. The matter is under investigation and police were attempting to contact the owner as of early Friday.
At 4:29 a.m. on Friday, October 18, a vehicle reportedly struck a pole on North Ave. Police arrested Jose Joaquin Gamez, 25, 4B Gates Lane, Wakefield, and charged him with OUI Liquor, a marked lanes violation, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
