Two Men Spotted Looking Into Car Window, and Fake Gun Found in Bushes

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, July 30, 2013.

At 10:19 a.m. a caller reported a dog near Gumwood Lane was laying in the road. It was gone on arrival.
At 11:47 a.m. a person walked in to report witnessing a hit and run accident on Main Street. The two involved parties turned out to know each other and the matter was resolved.
At 1:38 p.m. Fire and Action Ambulance personnel responded to Woodbury Road for a report of an elderly person who had fallen.
At 2:09 p.m. a caller reported finding a gun in the bushes on Broadway. An officer determined that it was not a real one.
At 3:07 p.m. police were informed of a car that drove through a stop sign while passing other vehicles and honking on the way into Reading.
At 4:02 p.m. an erratic driver with a red Cadillac was reported on Farm Street. It was gone on arrival. It was gone on arrival.
At 8:16 p.m. police went to Highland Street for a neighbor dispute involving a pet dog.
At 9:20 p.m. a Nahant Street resident reported someone had spray painted her driveway and other property.
At 9:41 p.m. police received a report about fireworks near Herbert Street and advised the involved party to stop.
At 9:44 p.m. a caller reported two men in her driveway on Salem Street possibly looking into her vehicle. They were gone on arrival.
At 10:31 p.m. police went to Grove Street after a caller reported two males rang the doorbell.
At 10:52 p.m. a caller reported a barefoot man dressed all in black had been running down Bennett Street, apparently in distress. He was gone on arrival.
At 6:17 a.m. on Wednesday, July 31, police assisted an Ashland Street resident with removing a bat from the house.
