Two Arrested on Drug Charges

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, July 5 and Sunday, July 7, 2013.
At 9 a.m. a stray golden retriever was reported on Main Street.
At 9:35 a.m. a caller reported a dog left in a vehicle on Salem Street with the windows rolled up. The car was found to be running with the air conditioner on.
At 10:12 a.m. a caller reported three males consuming alcohol beneath the parking garage on Water Street.
At 2:51 p.m. a caller reported their vehicle was vandalized on Water Street during the night.
At 4:21 p.m. a Water Street resident reported a vehicle was vandalized during the previous night.
At 5:11 p.m. police took a report involving threats.
At 7:18 p.m. police responded to a domestic disturbance on Harrison Ave.
At 7:59 p.m. police issued a summons to a 37 year old Chelmsford resident charging him with violating an abuse prevention order.
At 9:07 p.m. a man was placed into protective custody.
At 11:11 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious vehicle with four males parked near Kennedy Circle. They were gone on arrival.

On Saturday, July 6 at 1:37 a.m. police arrested Corey Davis, 20, 2 Kenrick Ave., Billerica, and charged him with OUI Liquor 2nd offense, person under 21 in possession of alcohol, and a marked lanes violation.
At 1:54 a.m. a caller reported some youths causing a disturbance in the road near Montrose Ave. and Water Street. They turned out to be exiting a party bus in nearby Saugus.
At 4:17 a.m. police were informed that a woman on Melrose Terrace was throwing rocks and breaking windows. Soon after, they issued a summons to a 52 year old Everett woman for felony vandalism/defacing property.
At 9:21 a.m. an accident involving a car into a pole was reported near Pleasant Street and Bryant Street. Police arrested Lisa Cataldo, 45, 16 Armory Street, Wakefield, and charged her with OUI Liquor 2nd offense, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, failure to drive in the right lane, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
At 10:18 a.m. syringes were reportedly recovered from an alley near Main Street and Water Street.
At 1 p.m. after a traffic stop, police arrested two individuals. EJ Bello, 23, 20 South Street, Lynn, was charged with possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, and with a drug violation near a school or park. Police also arrested Luis D. Pena, 20, 6 Harvard Street, Dorchester, and charged him with possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute, a crosswalk violation, and a drug violation near a school or park.
At 1:53 p.m. a motorist reported that while driving on Water Street a man in a blue Hyundai had tailgated him and then later exited the vehicle and pushed him. He was gone on arrival. The driver of the Hyundai later reported that his vehicle was damaged during the altercation and the matter remained under investigation.  
At 2:18 p.m. a caller reported youths shooting paintballs near Green Street. They were gone on arrival.
At 4:48 p.m. police took a report of an intoxicated man outside the McDonald’s on Main Street and gave him a ride home.
At 6:16 p.m. police responded to a reported disturbance between two men in an Albion Street apartment.
At 8:18 p.m. the fire and light departments responded to a transformer fire on Aborn Ave.
At 8:31 p.m. a caller on North Ave. reported that people in a silver Jeep with a Patriots spare tire cover were circling the lake and throwing things at pedestrians. 

At 9:04 p.m. police arrested Luciano Raimundo, 18, 24 Vernon Street, Wakefield on a warrant.
At 9:24 p.m. police took a fireworks complaint from Heather Lane.
At 9:40 p.m. a caller reported a male in shorts, a hat and sunglasses was laying in the brush beside the path on Church Street watching pedestrians. Police sent him on his way.
At 9:55 p.m. a woman on Sunset Drive reported somebody has been ringing her doorbell and fleeing over the past several weeks. Police located a vehicle thought to be involved and advised the person to stop.

On Sunday, July 7 at 12:27 a.m. an officer pulled over a vehicle with three youths and discovered between nine and eleven traffic cones in it that appeared to be from a nearby construction site.
At 9:54 a.m. a vehicle with a broken rear window was reported near Farm Street and Old Nahant Road.
At 10 a.m. some roofers were reportedly working in violation of the town’s Sunday ordinance.
At 11:07 a.m. an individual reportedly fell of a bike near Main Street and Lowell Street.
At 4:17 p.m. police took a report of an apparently intoxicated man causing a disturbance on Hopkins Street. They arrested Samuel A. Banks, 44, 25 N. Warren Street, Woburn, and charged him with B+E to a vehicle/boat during the daytime for felony, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, threatening to commit a crime (kill), and felony malicious damaging of property.
