Truck Spills Oil, and Thief Tries to Siphon Gas

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Thursday, July 18, 2013.
At 8:51 a.m. police performed a well-being check on Bartley Street.
At 9:45 a.m. police took a report of a restraining order violation.
At 11:03 a.m. a caller reported that a man on Audubon Road was possibly suffering heat exhaustion.
At 12:23 p.m. police took a call involving a vehicle blocking access to a driveway on Yale Ave. The vehicle apparently had a local resident sticker but New Hampshire plates.
At 1:17 p.m. a caller asked police to check the well-being of a woman whose air conditioner was not working. She was OK.
At 1:42 p.m. a caller reported witnessing an accident near Avon Street and Main Street.
At 2:45 p.m. police took a report involving identity theft.
At 3:39 p.m. a minor accident was reported on Kathleen Drive.
At 3:53 p.m. police arrested Miguel Chavez, 22, 6 Endicott Street, Lynn, and charged him with larceny over $250.
At 3:55 p.m. an accident was reported at the 129 Rotary.
At 4:46 p.m. the fire department responded to the area near Spring Street and Vine Street after learning that an oil truck had apparently spilled some oil on the street.
At 6:08 p.m. police arrested Nicole Cameron, 31, 33 Wiley Streety, Wakefield, and charged her on two warrants.
At 8:04 p.m. an accident was reported near Vernon Street and Lowell Street.
At 8:11 p.m. State Police informed Wakefield that a man near Exit 42 was possibly suicidal, armed, and looking for a “suicide by cop.” The man was located in a nearby parking lot and a clinician arrived to evaluate him.
At 8:27 p.m.  a caller reported that two white males around the age of 20 had been taking photos of a home on Karl Road. When approached, the two drove off, but their plate number was provided to police.
At 8:48 p.m. a seven year old boy called police because he was upset over a disagreement with his father. An officer spoke with the boy about the proper use of 911.
At 8:51 p.m. a caller reported a possibly intoxicated male on White Ave.
At 9:25 p.m. an unattended backpack was reported at Spaulding Playground. It was harmless and apparently was left there by a child.
At 10:11 p.m. a drug offense was reported on Main Street.
At 11:27 p.m. a caller reported a loud group on Stedman Street. They were gone on arrival.
At 1:03 a.m. on Friday, July 19, a caller reported a vehicle had just crashed through some trash barrels on Curtis Street. The vehicle was gone but a large amount of debris reportedly remained.
At 6:13 a.m. a caller on Vernon Street reported somebody had apparently tried to siphon gas from his vehicle.
