Three Facing Charges After Break-In

Neighbor spotted suspects breaking into house on Vernon Street. Suspects also facing charges for heroin and some warrants.

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, October 23, 2013.
At 7:54 a.m. a suspicious man was reported near the train tracks near Chestnut Street. He checked out OK.
At 9:11 a.m. police took a report involving a road rage incident.
At 10:12 a.m. a minor accident was reported near Main Street and Franklin Street.
At 12:24 p.m. police received a call from a woman who said she “needs help” and then hung up. The call turned out to involve a flooded basement.

 At 3:26 p.m. a caller reported he had just witnessed a break-in at his neighbor’s home on Vernon Street. Police soon arrested three suspect a short distance away and the department’s K9 unit also responded. Anthony R. Melanson, 27, 274 Euclid Ave., Lynn, was charged with breaking and entering a building in the daytime for a felony, and possession of a Class A drug – heroin. Adam G. Parsons, 35, 69 Tourain Ave., Hull, was charged with breaking and entering a building in the daytime for a felony, and on four warrants. Christine M. Monsini, 35, 15 Martinack Ave., Peabody, was charged with possession of a Class A drug (heroin), subsequent offense, breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, and two warrants. In a follow-up email, Wakefield Police reported that a suspect had allegedly dropped a bag of items stolen from the house while fleeing in the woods, and those items were recovered. Police also reportedly recovered a number of other items in the suspects' car that may be tied to other break-ins. 

At 9:25 p.m. police on Main Street checked on a group of males where one individual had reportedly been on the ground. They checked out OK.
