Stolen Plumbing Equipment And A Suspicious Man At The ATM

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Monday, December 17, 2012.
At 9:27 a.m., police took a walk-in report involving stolen plumbing equipment from a garage on Pleasant Street.
At 10:44 a.m., a caller reported that he had just struck a telephone pole on High Street.
At 2:09 p.m., police were informed of a man staggering in and out of the roadway on Vernon Street. He declined medical treatment but an officer gave him a ride.
At 3:31 p.m., police issued a no trespass order to an individual on Crescent Street after receiving a complaint.
At 4:31 p.m., police took a report of a restraining order violation. They arrested John Vasquez, 46, 20 Oak Street, Wakefield, for violating a 209A abuse prevention order.
At 4:42 p.m., a caller reported a suspicious silver minivan driving around on Elm Street. It turned out to be the newspaper delivery person.
At 6:04 p.m., a Wakefield officer assisted with traffic control on Walkers Brook Drive in Reading after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.
At 8:15 p.m. a two car accident was reported near Water Street and Montrose Avenue. An officer reported that a woman had fled the scene prior to his arrival. Police issued a summons to a 23 year old Lynn woman for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage, and a marked lanes violation.
At 8:21 p.m., a caller reported that they were unable to find their car. An officer located it in a town parking area.
At 8:56 p.m., a caller on North Ave. reported a suspicious male dressed all in black had watched him withdraw money from an ATM. He was gone on arrival.
