Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Tuesday, May 14, 2013.
At 7:54 a.m. an accident with no injury was reported near Main Street and Water Street.
At 10:01 a.m. the fire department responded to an alarm on Harts Hill Road set off by burnt food.
At 12:20 p.m. Wakefield assisted North Reading with an identity fraud investigation.
At 12:35 p.m. a caller on Lowell Street reported that somebody had backed into his car. The two parties exchanged paperwork.
At 4:40 p.m. a caller reported that a “no parking” sign was stolen on Main Street.
At 7:26 p.m. a missing pocketbook was reported.
At 7:32 p.m. a business on Albion Street called about a woman smoking outside who would not move along when asked. An officer sent her along her way.
At 8:47 p.m. a Newell Road resident reported receiving a call where a woman claimed she was being chased by a man with a knife. Further investigation traced it back to an address in Hingham and police in that town checked on it.
At 9:47 p.m. police were informed of a driver on the wrong side of the road near North Ave. and Church Street. The driver got onto 95 South and left the area.
