Singing, Swearing Man Was Out Listening to iPod

Information provided by the Wakefield Police. Where arrests are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wakefield Police responded to the following calls for service on Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, and on Tuesday, January 1, 2013:

On Monday, Dec. 31 at 8:21 a.m., police were informed of equipment stolen from a job site on Hopkins Street.
At 8:46 a.m., a caller reported a snow plow and vehicle stolen on North Ave.
At 1:25 p.m., a car reportedly bumped an old railroad crossing pole on Lowell Street, inflicting minor damage to the vehicle and none to the pole.
At 1:45 p.m., a caller reported a parking problem on Hopkins Street because of sledding. Police spotted no violations.
At 2:56 p.m., a caller reported an individual possibly waiting for a drug deal on Main Street. The vehicle was gone on arrival.
At 5:51 p.m., officers checked out a reported erratic operator near Vernon Street.
At 7:57 p.m., police received a noise complaint from a house party on Richardson Street. They were advised to keep it down. A second call came in about the party as well but the music was turned down at that point.
At 8:22 p.m., a report of a possible break-in was received from Prospect Street.
At 8:58 p.m., a restraining order violation was reported. Police issued a summons to a 31 year old Waltham man for violating a 209a abuse prevention order and intimidating a witness.
At 9:08 p.m., a fireworks complaint came in from Linden Street. All was found quiet.
At 10:23 p.m., a minor accident was reported near West Water Street and Foster Street. Police arrested Sarah E. Lepoer, 43, 11 Bartley Street, Wakefield, for OUI liquor.
At 11:36 p.m., a caller reported an intoxicated male falling into a snowbank. Police located the individual, a juvenile, and released him to a parent. Several other juveniles found not to be intoxicated were also picked up by their parents.
At 11:40 p.m., staff from a bar on Water Street reported that two people were out front being disruptive after being denied entry.  They left in a cab.

On Tuesday, January 1 at 11:44 a.m., a Court Street resident reported that there were footprints out in the backyard. Further investigation found the footprints were connected to an incident during the night where an intoxicated person wandered through the yard before being brought home.
At 12:18 p.m., a woman was reportedly causing a disturbance on Chestnut Street. She was sent on her way to the train station.
At 3:28 p.m., police checked on a family dispute on Lakeview Circle.
At 3:46 p.m., a water main break was reported on Greenwood Ave.
At 5:12 p.m., a motorist reported that he had just struck a parked vehicle on Lake Street.
At 5:21 p.m., police responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Chestnut Street. They arrested Matthew Chase, 24 Chestnut Street, Wakefield, for assault with a dangerous weapon.
At 5:58 p.m., a caller on Preston Street reported that an intoxicated downstairs tenant was trying to get in, and that there was also a language barrier. Police placed a 34 year old Wakefield man into protective custody.
At 8:39 p.m., a caller reported that a man was singing and swearing in the street on Greenwood Street. Further investigation found it was a man visiting relatives who was out on a walk listening to his iPod.
