Rollover Accident, One Arrest Reported Over Weekend

Wakefield Police responded to these and other calls for service between Friday, Nov. 8 and Sunday, Nov. 10.

On Friday, Nov. 8 at 1:52 p.m. police took a report involving past vandalism to a vehicle on Chestnut Street.
At 2:48 p.m. a found property item was turned in to the station.
At 3:06 p.m. a caller reported a suspicious man taking pictures of his house. The man said he was working for the homeowner’s bank and left, and police determined that the man most likely was a bank employee.
At 3:38 p.m. a tree branch was removed from the roadway on Forest Street.
At 5:52 p.m. police issued a summons to a 47 year old Wakefield man charging him with operating with a suspended license, subsequent offense.

On Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1:37 a.m., State Police handled an rollover accident reported at Exit 39 North on 128.
At 8:18 a.m. a vehicle parked in a handicapped spot on Hopkins Street was ticketed.
At 9:58 a.m. police spoke to some landscapers on Jordan Ave. blowing debris into the road.
At 11:24 a.m. an accident was reported near North Ave. and Armory Street.
At 12:02 p.m. an accident was reported near Albion Street and Gould Street.
At 1240 p.m. police spoke with a motorcycle operator on Kendrick Road who was reportedly causing a recurring issue with speeding.
At 2 p.m. a caller reported a male and female sitting near North Ave with some sort of electronic device. They turned out to be college students filming a movie.
At 3:31 p.m. an elderly female was reported walking on the railroad tracks near Greenwood. The MBTA was notified but she was not located.
At 10:33 p.m. a caller near Main Street and Pitman Ave. reported that a silver sedan had just struck her vehicle and fled.
At 10:49 p.m. a Putnam Ave. resident reported that two youths had just exited their car and urinated on his lawn, with some beer cans also falling out of the vehicle. An area search came up negative.

On Sunday, Nov. 10 at 12:20 a.m., police went to Audubon Road for a report of five people causing a disturbance. They were gone on arrival.
At 12:51 a.m. a Crescent Street resident reported hearing loud banging from the unit upstairs. Police found the neighbors sleeping upon arrival.
At 1:16 a.m. police sent a group of youths on their way who had been playing basketball on Salem Street.
At 1:34 a.m. police sent a man on his way from a store on Salem Street after being informed he was talking to himself and would not leave.
At 1:47 a.m. police arrested Joseph Ignasius Parcellin, 19, and charged him on a warrant for assault and battery and for possession of an ounce or less of marijuana.
At 5:56 a.m. police placed a 42 year old Reading man into protective custody after his girlfriend reported having a problem with him.
At 2:18 p.m. a Bryant Street resident reported that he had found an arrow shot onto his property. Further investigation found a neighbor who had been doing target practice and was not aware where the arrow had ended up.
At 7:03 p.m. police took a report of credit card fraud.
At 9:25 p.m. police took a complaint about an ongoing issue with noise from a neighbor.
