Recent Vehicle Vandalism Thought To Be Related

At least five cars vandalized while parked in commuter rail spots over the past week.

Wakefield Police are asking residents to keep an eye out for suspicious activity around commuter rail parking areas due to some recent vehicle vandalism incidents.

In a recent email to Wakefield Patch, Wakefield Police noted that vehicles were reported keyed on both September 18th and 19th. Those vehicles were reportedly parked in spaces for commuter rail passengers located on North Ave. between Albion Street and Armory Street.

Also, three vehicles were reported damaged this Tuesday, September 25th, while parked on Murray Street.

Police have not determined that these incidents are definitely related, but the locations and damages done are apparently consistent with each other.  More patrols are expected in the area, while citizens who observe any suspicious activity in the area can contact the police at 781-245-1212.
